I currently have a Jeep with 4 wheel drive that I have had for 8 years, but I am selling it to lease a new car. I really want to get the new 2010 Honda Accord Coupe. I know they are only Front wheel drive and nothing like my Jeep. I am very worried because my area is suppost to have a very bad winter with the coldest and most snowiest & icy winter in a very long time. I am a big worry wart and panic over everything. I am not used to driving a car with no help of getting through snow, when I know my Jeep will tear right through the snow. I'm not worried about short distances, but every weekend I go away and it takes me a half hour to get there on highways and long windey roads and hills. I'm just wondering if I will be okay and safe in the Honda. I worry about the car sliding and also slipping and sliding when I make turns.
Here's what I have come to. There are really only 3 months of snowy winter and 9 months of normal weather. So I am thinking if I get another SUV for the winter months, then I have to live with the SUV all year long. Then I will wish I had my Honda in the summer. OR try and suffer through those 3 months and get through it the best I can, just so I can have my Honda.
Is the honda safe? And will it be okay? I just don't want to be stuck on the side of the road and panic.
