I have a science project that involves the frequency of chirps, where I must count how many chirps the crickets make in a specific amount of time. Today, I bought 5 House Crickets and have yet to hear them chirp. After researchin online, I found that crickets so not chirp in the winter because it is cold, but I haven't found anything about them being in room temperature. I was wondering if the temperature outside affects what them when they are inside, and if so, is hat the reason why they are not chirping?
Will my crickets chirp despite it being winter?
