ok here goes my brother in law has recently been arrested for punching my ex husband. my ex has been getting credit out in my address as his name is still on the mortgage so my borther in law spoke to him over the telephone to see if he could talk some sence into him at thhis point my ex got quite personal with my brother in law calling him a drug additct.. which he isnt,,, and threatening him which is what kicked it all off.
About 1 month before all this happened I had my car stolen and my house was broken into my ex threatened to phone the police and get him arrested for this when he did not do it. My brother in law is still on liecence from prison but has turned his life around. I know he did not do it as I was at his house when it happened.
The day after the phone call happened my brother in law went down to his dads where my ex now lives and he was there he then went to the phone and said he was going to ring the police and get him done for arson. so my brother in law followed him. my ex then hit him with the phone so my brother in law retalliated and thats when my ex got him arrested for assault.
He has to go next week to see if he going to be charged but it was self defence. its proving though as nobody saw him get hit with the phone they just saw him retaliating.
any advice would be great as i dont want my brother in law to go to prison for sticking up for me.
