I changed his water today. I think I made the water too warm. When I went back to add in the deliminator I noticed he was just floating at the top. He wasn't on his side but you could tell something was wrong. There were also a lot of bubbles on him and the fish tank scenery. That usually happens, the bubbles that is. When I looked at the temperature it was at 86. I feel awful. I took out a lot of the water and added cooler water. Before I put in cooler water I noticed his tail fin and dorsal fin color was fading. After the cooler water his color came back and he's moving more. But now there are stringy fibers coming off of him. I hope he's going to make it. I think he's in temperature shock. I don't know what I need to do. Please help!!!!
He is in a 1 gal tank. I don't have space for a 5 gal tank. I've had him for less than a year. I think the fiber strings are slime. He is mostly sitting, or floating. Doesn't swim a lot.
I've also got glass pebbles in the bottom. I've had them in there for months but I noticed the color is flaking off. I want to get them out but I don't know if I should wait to see if he gets better.
