Will it really take so long to receive an HTC Incredible?

I'm been considering buying a new phone forever and mine finally quit working the other day. After much reading and searching, I decided to spend a bit more and get the HTC Incredible. However, I was going to order online through Verizon and noticed that the estimated ship date is June 22. Will it really take that long? I don't think I can wait that long to have a phone again. Is the Incredible currently available in Verizon stores at all? If it is going to be so long, I may have to just get the Eris instead.
 
I own the incredible and got it on release day.
Wait for it. It probably will come sooner than later.
It is very much worth it over the eris.

It is simply stunning.
Local stores may have them in stock but the eris is entry level.
This device takes smartphones to a whole different level. Have not regretted it one bit.
