So, I finished my lease with this apartment complex but when i called them to ask for a reference they said i owed them close to like 4,000 because i broke a lease. I havent gotten a bill from the apartment complex, or a subpeona or any collections calls so.... Idk if its on my credit.
Which is not true, because i have a copy of my lease that says where i signed a 7month lease.
We have been figuring it out but its still gonna take a while to clear that up, and i need to move within the next week or 2,
WITH that on my credit report will it be impossible to find a place that will take me?
I applied at a low income housing place yesterday and she said she would call me today to tell me if i have gotten approved or not,
Any similar experience? Have u rented just fine with a broken lease?
