Will I receive roaming charges from Rogers if I purchase the U.S. voice/text roaming

travel packs? So I will be in the States for the next two weeks. I just purchased the U.S. voice and text roaming travel packs where I receive so many minutes/texts for a set amount.

I understand that I won't be charged roaming fees while calling text as long as I stay within my prescribed minutes and texts, but my question is:

Will I incur roaming fees when I'm not calling or texting, i.e. by just leaving my iphone on, even if I'm not doing anything with it?

No, you don't incur any roaming fees unless you're actually using your phone on another carrier's network. Watch out for data roaming charges though... if you have visual voicemail you could be hit with data roaming fees whenever someone leaves you a voicemail whether you check it or not. This is because the phone will download the msgs automatically. Go in to your settings and disable data roaming.
