Will I lose my financial aid?

I've already been awarded and accepted a certain amount of financial aid for the 2009-2010 school year. However, I just received a $3,000 check from my grandmother and I'm worried that depositing this check to my bank account will make me lose my financial aid. Can somebody please tell me if this will change my financial aid amount for the next two remaining terms? I really need the financial aid and $3,000 is not enough to cover my tuition if I lose the financial aid.
