Will I look weird if I do this?

When I go to school every morning, I always see this girl.. And when I say always, I meant everday, as in we take the same train together...We ride two trains btw, the MRT then the LRT.. We both ride at Boni Ave MRT station, we both go down at Cubao MRT station.. Then we take the same path going to the LRT, we both ride at Cubao LRT station, and we both go down at legarda LRT station . We always catch each others eyes.. We always look at each other... Sometimes I catch her looking at me, and sometimes she catches me looking at her..

If I had a chance, would it be weird if I suddenly say hi then be friends with her? I just moved here in our city last April, and maybe having a friend would be awesome...

Btw, I'm a girl too... :)
