Will I damage somthing if I remove the fuse from my VCR?

The fuse in my VCR blows every time i plug it in. If I replace it with some copper wire, is there a risk that i will damage something other than my VCR? Could I damage other things in my house on the same circuit?
 
you are probably putting in a wrong fuse, or your VCR is busted

DO NOT PUT COPPER WIRE INSTEAD OF FUSE

doing so will definitely ruin your VCR, your homes fuse will blow if something bad happens
 
Everthing Dean M says is correct. Take a look at the main board where the fuse is located and it should have the value of the fuse silked screened(printed) on the main board. If it blows the correct value fuse, than there is definitely something wrong with your VCR.
