I'm from a very low income family, I make about 10k a year.
I can't afford the insurance through my employer.

I've applied for insurance through different companies but none will cover me due to a preexisting condition. I had a kidney removed, and have gone to the emergency room so many times for kidney infections before and after the removal they will not offer me insurance. The companies that could offer me insurance would not cover my kidney problems and were also too expensive.

Will I benefit from government run insurance, or are there any other companies that are cheap but good?

I feel your pain sort of.

After 21 years at a good paying skilled job, my new corpy boss trashed 6 of our 12 employees at our family operated business and then cut the health insurance without the 15 day required notice by CT state law.
Yeah he doesnt have to cover us, but he cant cancel without notice.
So the notion of better job is bullshit.
Health insurance isnt a right, but since people who run my government get it, then damn it, I am entitled too

Why are some states health care cost a lot cheaper?
CT sets mandatory minimums, that is corruption at its best

And Obama isn't going to fix this so in reality yes. We are on our own.

Of course not. haven't the Republicans told you? You are better off without health insurance! Obviously you don;t listen to Rush Limbaugh.

Honestly? Obama's plan will not allow them to block you due to ANY preexisting condition. You WILL get insurance, and you WILL get treated.
