Hey, I'm in High School and I'm about to start my sophomore year.
Last year (my freshman year) I took one AP (AP Biology).
I had a 4.5 GPA in the first semester and then a 4.3... something second semester so it averaged out to around a 4.4 GPA overall.
When I took my SAT ii subject test for bio, I passed with a 740.
In my sophomore year, I'm planning on taking AP European History, AP Chemistry, H English, H Pre-Calculus, Spanish 2, and Ceramics 2.
If I get straight As, I'll be able to get a 4.67 to be averaged into my GPA.
Junior year, I'm planning on taking AP Calculus AB, AP Lit, AP Physics, AP US History, Spanish 3, and possibly another AP class.. such as theory or studio art, or maybe a regular cooking elective or yearbook?
Senior year, I will take AP Lang, AP Calculus BC or AP Statistics, AP US Government, H. Human Anatomy, AP Economy, and AP Spanish.
I'm involved with Key Club (I tutor 5th graders at a nearby elementary school) and I play piano and guitar, and I really enjoy art. I'm also in the honors society.
I'm taking some summer courses at my local college as well, and they all count as 5.0 credits instead of the regular 4.0.
The junior and senior schedules are not definite
I'm counting on my GPA staying above a 4.0, and hoping I'll do well on the SAT/ PSAT.
Anyways... if I continue on this path, will I be eligible to attend an Ivy League or UC school? If not, what kind of things should I do to improve my plans?
