I applied this morning for a position on the quick lane at a Ford dealership. It seems like the job is mine if my background check comes out clean and i'm insurable. I have no criminal record, no DUIs and no car wrecks. However, I have 3 civil speeding tickets and 1 illegal left hand turn ticket. My license is still in good standing. My credit is also not great right now as i'm paying my way through school, barely staying afloat financially. My question is, do you think Ford's insurance company will consider me "not insurable" because of my tickets, and therefor will not hire me? I don't know if the job pends on my credit (which is probably in the dumps) or not, but i'm curious about that too. I'd like to hear from anyone who works for or has worked for Ford on this, or anyone else who has worked as a tech and might have an idea.
