I am an exchange student in Los Angeles, America and I was recently caught shoplifting at the Kmart next to The Grove. I was caught with my cousin who was born here. The amount in dollars I stole was $20.00 and the amount he stole was $15.00. The cops came and gave us a citation each and told me to be at court on 8/28/09. I was planning to go visit Korea in August, but planning to come back before I am due in court. Will I get stopped at the airport security checkpoint because I did not go to court yet and it seems that I am trying to avoid the court date by leaving the country? And if anyone knows, how much will the fine be? Please help. Thanks guys.
