Will I be able to find a good deal at the closing Chrysler dealerships?

Dealers aren't driving hard bargains. Lenders have tightened up their approval criteria. But justifiably so. Dealers are offering every rebate and incentive Chrysler offers as well as discounting their cars and trucks as much as they can. Prices on new Chryslers are the lowest they've ever been.

As far as the dealers that will close, don't expect anything more from them. They owe a lot in insurance, flooring and interest on the cars and trucks on their lots. And they must pay Chrysler in full immediately for the cars they sold. Chrysler will take back all their inventory which will relieve them of insurance costs. But those dealers will still owe a fortune on unpaid flooring and interest on those unsold vehicles. And one huge lump sum on those they sold.

Facing huge losses when they're closed, don't expect dealers to compound that buy having any fire sales that will leave them in an even worse condition.
