Will I be able to draw using Wacom Bamboo on Windows Vista Home Basic?

I am student artist using a laptop with Windows Vista Home Basic and I really want to be able to use the tablet. I saw another question on yahoo about this but I really want to know if anyone has used this with Home Basic. I just need it for art purposes. I don't need handwriting recognition. thanks!
