I just got some new lights, and I have two backdrops (black and white) arriving next week.
I have 1 alien bees 800, and 1 400, and a little crappy light that takes 8 seconds to recharge.
I know that I wouldn't have been allowed to s hoot hi-key at the last studio that I worked at with only those lights, but do you think that I could pull it off without it looking too crappy with what I have?
If I crank up the 400 and the little light to light the backdrop, as long as I'm only shooting 1 or two people, will my 800 be sufficient as long as their faces are towards the light? And do you HAVE to have a hair light if you're doing hi-key? Or should I just forget about it and buy another light or two?
Thanks!
