Will Google chrome mess up window 7?

because i heard that Google chrome makes your laptop messed up by the screen turning blue and makes the program go back to an old looking version so i was scared and uninstalled it is it true? because Google chrome is really fast on my laptop unlike Mozilla firefox i really want to use Google chrome but scared it might get mess up my laptop
