Will GM ever have its old stock back?

GM is going to issue new stocks later on next year. MTLQQ.PK is in no way related to GM. They detach themselves from this stock as soon as they filed for bankruptcy.

willl general motors ever get its old stock abbreviation back it used to just be GM but now its MTLQQ.PK.
so if you had old gm stock it will not go towards the new stock it will always be MLTQQ.PK
 
the current stock will be liquidated after all creditors are paid. In all likelihood there will be nothing to give to common shareholders.

GM has indicated the new company would like to issue stock in 2010. Perhaps they will use the ticker symbol GM. but that will be a new class of stock unrelated to existing MTLQQ.PK
 
If you had the old GM Corporation stock, it is now and will always be Motors Liquidation Company MLTQQ.PK and will soon be worthless. The old GM stock has nothing to do with the new GM Company.
