I'm growing ghost peppers.. and one of my plants just sprouted. I live in FL where the weather is very hot and humid....
My question is, will these plants grow in the shade? I live in an apartment complex, and I do not have access to direct sunlight. My apartment door leads to a breezeway (an outdoor area, enclosed by a roof. Think of an outdoor pavilion with walls on two sides.) I've been allowing my plants to grow out there. My question is this, will they bear fruit in an area like this, or will they need direct sunlight / a heat lamp?
My second question is - is it expensive to use a heat lamp. I'm referring to the electric bill. Will it noticeably increase my bill?
