Will General Ed. classes generally transfer to another degree from another college?

Got a 4 year bachelors of fine arts degree. This starving artist thing isnt working out and I'm actually kind of wanting to switch careers. I was thinking about going into accounting.
Does anyone know whether or not the classes I took to get the fine arts degree (the general education classes that is that all degrees need) Or will I have to retake those classes. I'm really hoping I dont. I've already spent 4 years going to school, and dont see why I would need to retake those classes that have nothing to do with the core classes.
