Will gel arch supports help with burning arches during exercise?

The arches of my feet burned like fire all through Zumba last night (my first class) and I find it happens a lot when I really get moving (especially side to side). I think it may be because I don't have much of an arch. I was thinking to try some Dr Scholl's inserts (since I can't afford to go to the doc or get expensive shoes). Would really love a podiatrist's opinion... do we have any? lol
