Will gaming specific RAM boost my laptop gaming performance?

I have a laptop that is said to max out at 4 gigs of RAM. However, this laptop also came installed with Windows Vista 32bit. I am now running Windows 7 64bit and am wondering if it now has the capability of handling more RAM? I looked on Crucial's website to see the capabilities of my laptop and they unfortunately don't have my variation on their database. So, can I even put more than 4 gigs of RAM into my laptop? And if not, will switching the max 4gb to 4 gigs of "gaming" memory make a difference in performance?

Btw, this is my laptop:
Acer Aspire 6935G
Intel Core 2 Duo processor T5800
GeForce 9600M GT Turbocache
4GB DDR3
320GB HDD
Blu-ray Disc
