Will flashing the xbox 360 cause xbox live problems?

I was wondering if flashing my xbox would mess up xbox live. I was planning on just unplugging the internet when i use burnt games and plugging it in when i had original games will this work or will they ban me from xbox live just for having a flashed xbox 360? can you get on live with original games without getting banned from xbox live with a flashed xbox????? Thanks.
 
It's not that you get reported, but Microsoft can detect your modded console whether or not you're playing a burned game at the time. When (not if) you are detected, your console will permanently banned from Xbox Live. How about rather than stealing games, you just buy the games to support the companies that worked hard to put them out? If money is such a problem, buy from somewhere like Amazon.com or buy used.
