Hi,

My wife's boss allowed her to get acompany phone of her choice on Cingular. I'm pushing her for E62 on Cingular as i'm very happy with my N73 on T-mobile.

1). what i need besides voice is to get company e-mails on her phone (BB connect?)
2). and i need to get to the web from my laptop using her phone via USB or BT
3). Do i need to do any tricks to make Cingular locked/branded E62 to shere its data to laptop? (on unbranded N73 i have no problem to do this).

so is it possible and what data plans should i suggest to cover all these?

Thank in advance

1. bb connect works with bis or bes and works great for getting emails, if the company uses exchange you could use mail for exchange. there are so many different email solutions for the e62. http://www.businesssoftware.nokia.com/ if you go here it shows all the different clients.
2. yes you can tether your phone via usb or bluetooth and it is pretty quick too.
3. to tether you just need to setup the settings on the computer similar to your n73 just the cingular settings instead of tmo. you can use nokia pc suite to connect, it has all the settings built in to it

I'm having trouble using E62 to tether via USB connection. I tried using Nokia PC Suite but no luck. Can you help me out and give me more detailed info about the setting details?

What I've done is:

1) Connect E62 to PC via USB
2) Launch Nokia PC Suite
3) Click connect to internet

What settings do I have to change for it to work?

Thanks in advance!

Eleven,

After you click connect to internet, PC Suite will try to auto connect (and probably fail)

Go into settings, then select your connection (USB or bluetooth options should be available)

After that, you need to select your operator. It defaults to settings for 3 in Australia

Thanks for the reply...but the CINGULAR operator doesn't show up in the selection

But it's okay....cuz i got it to work without using Nokia Suite
