I have a 1999 Sebring convertible (JXI) 2.5L and I was told by the dealership that I have a Bad cat converter. They told me that My converter may be clogged and it is causing too much back pressure. The pressure is causing the hose connected to my EGR valve to keep blowing off. So my question is If I cut off my cat converter and replace it with straight pipe what will happen if anything?
Will cutting off my cat converter mess up my car?
