Will civilization ultimately crumble without religion?

I really really don't think religion is the only thing that can inspire humility. Ever looked up at the stars? On a cloudless night, far from a city? And realized the light from a particular star took perhaps millions of years to traverse the distance to your eyeballs?

As in, maybe having a god is what started civilization and without the humility, mankind will fragment into complete individualism, society will fail, then it will start all over again.
It's clear to me that most of you can handle it, but can most of the world?
Being that the average I.Q. is borderline retardation.
the dude~ Nope. I usually just grunt and throw sticks at them.
LV426~ You mean without a god it's clear to cull?
Eleutherios~ Indeed.
