Will Chipper Jones be a 1st ballot Hall of Famer?

I believe he worthy to be a first ballot Hall of Famer. It is tough to say for sure because it depends who is in line at the time he is illegible to be inducted. His career stats are worthy enough that's for sure. He has 2,553 hits, 4,470 total bases, 512 doubles, 443 home runs, 1,532 RBI's, and has a career batting average of .305. Not to mention he was the NL MVP in 1999 and a World Series Champion.

I say so. A guy who has played his entire career with one franchise, has a ring, has great numbers... Best switch hitter of all time. This guy has heart, he is a star, and will be a first ballot hall of famer.

If there was a HOF for the DL, it would have all the Mets players for the last 50 years. Since 1962 they have probably used the DL more than all other teams that have been active since then, but I don't think they keep records for that stuff.

Hands down, Chipper will be elected in the Hall of Fame (and not the one for the DL... lol). I would not be surprised to see him get in on his first ballot. He is easily one of the best switch-hitters in the history of the league.

Of course, even if he doesn't get in on the first ballot, he will get in eventually.

Anybody who plays as long as Chipper has and doesn't use steroids to get over injuries is going to spend some time on the DL. Ken Griffey Jr. was the best home run hitter of his in my opinion and would have the record if it weren't for the fact that he never used steroids to get over injuries. he spent almost two total years on the DL. Does that mean he doesn't deserve to be a 1st ballot hall of famer.

Chipper Jones has been one of the best players of his era and helped lead The Braves to 10 of their 14 straight division titles. The only way to not think he deserves a first ballot vote is if you're a bitter fan of a division rival.

Depends on who else is on the ballot.

I really don't think he'll be a first ballot unless there is really no one else on the ballot that looks good.

Probably be second or third ballot.

I think he will but there is a slight chance that he won't be 1st ballot because he really did not achieve any of the feat to make him a HOF but has a brilliant overall numbers.

Based on all of his stats, I would most certainly say yes. The guy has a .300 career batting, and he is near the top in the most switch hitter Home runs.
