Will buying more RAM for my computer increase fps in WoW?

I currently have Windows XP (desktop) and I dont think my RAM is very good. I usually get 45-60 fps and latency for the most part, stays under 300. Also, if I keep my old RAM in and add a 2 GB RAM will that be better then just the 2 GB alone? Thanks
