will biking help weight loss?

Im 13 and its almost summer and I want a new bike and I wonder if riding a bike everyday all day will help,
I already eat healthy,but its only my stomach area.

Will biking be a good workout,is it cardiovascular exercise?
 
Yes, yes, and yes. I have arthritis in my lower back. I can't walk over one block without a cane. But, I can still get on a bicycle with little to no pain. Two years ago I was 300 lbs. & out of breathe after 4-5 miles. Granted I'm still overweight at 250, but I can now do 25 miles. I look better. I feel better. My blood pressure is down, etc., etc.

Start slowly & try to add a few minutes every day to your ride. Stay hydrated - take along at least one water bottle & do not gulp. Take sips. In the heat of the summer, start early in the morning...before dawn. I use a CatEye light combo.
