will att replace water damage?

i have had water damage on my samsung impression but after a week it just started to work. it has worked perfectly fine for a couple months now but today it froze. i would like to take it back to att but does anyone know if they replace water damage? cuz the back of the phone is pink(where they check to see if it has water damage)
or does anyone know how to fix it?
(i have tried taking the battery out)

and do i have to pay them for exchanging my phone? how much?
