will ATT know if I am using a smart phone on a non smart phone data plan?

I have that 10 dollar unlimited for non smartphones but I hate not having a smart phone and I want to get a blackberry but they dont have unlimited internet plans for smartphones and i am always online so will ATT know if I am using a blackberry instead of my samsung impression

You betcha and they will add the $25/month plan to your account as sonn as the network detects you're using a smart phone.
