Will anyone buy Chrysler?

Nissan/Renault wants 20% of them, but Cerberus doesn't want that, they want out of it totally. And the want GM to give them the rest of GMAC (Cerberus owns 51% of GMAC already), so they can get a bigger piece of the bailout if they own 100% of GMAC

The Chrysler/GM merger is the worst idea there is. There is so much product overlap that many many jobs at chrysler would be cut. They would only save Jeep and the Minivan.
Nissan does not have near as much overlap, and would keep most operations open and it makes a lot more sense, but that isn't the goal, the goal is to get as much federal money as possible
 
Buy them out? No way. They're looking to merge with gm. A bigger junk factory. They need to keep cutting costs. All those old timers pensions and healthcare is what killed their books.
