will any wi-fi usb adapter work on philips blu-ray?

i just bought a philips wi-fi ready blu-ray and in order to connect to the wi-fi it say's i need a wi-fi dongle. but the philips usb adapter cost $80 the same price i paid for the blu-ray!! so i checked amazon and they have wi-fi adapters for about $20 or under, will any of those work? anyone been in a similar situation?
