will ANY android TMOBILE phone work with "tmobile pay as you go" simcards?

will ANY tmobile android phone such as HTC HD2 ; HTC G1 ; ect... !? will they work with the "pay as you go" tmobile simcards? like as minute phones..... I dont wanna get a whole plan, just buy a pay as you go simcard...(:
