Will an involuntary psychiatric hold disqualify you from the military?

A couple of years ago I made the mistake of drinking after I had gone through a generous amount of grief and stress. Though I don't really remember it, I supposedly got a headache and took some aspirin for it. Between the alcohol and aspirin I felt really sick later and my friend took me to the hospital. I had to stay for a couple of days, and then they forced me to go to a different hospital under a 72 hour health hold. I told the doctor that I wasn't trying to be self destructive or anything, and they released me after a day or so. They wanted me to take Zoloft, but I never did and they didn't give me a prescription for it. I also never did any follow up counseling. When I explained this to my recruiter he said it sounded more like an isolated incident and it may not be something I have to talk about. Is this something that can permanently disqualify me from the military, or is it something that they may be able to waiver?
I did talk to him and he didn't really give me a straight answer....
