will an Exercise bike help me lose weight?

I just bough one of those excercise bikes from wal-mart hoping to shred some pounds (about 35 hopefully) I am 16 and I work about 35-40 hours per week as a cashier.
I was planning on in the mornings before work excercising about 15 mins and after work 15 or more mins.

Also I am on a pretty strict diet of no sweets or sodas just water.

I am 5'7 at 195 lbs

will this give me results I am looking for?
 
you should make the duration of the exerices longer, first of all, Better one 30 minute work out than two 15s.

And, great, if you consume no sweets, you'll lose weight even without hard work outs.

Go wild, I wish you luck! You'll make it.
 
Yes it'll work.
Try to stay at a speed of 5 miles an hour,
get that heart rate up and stick to it 30 minutes a day.
Drink that water, warm up, cool down and "Move more, eat less"
