Will an app like Loopt for the iPhone be coming out for any other devices

IE. Droid, Touch pro, Hero, Eris etc? I am getting the Droid Eris from Verizon and was wondering if the Loopt app will have any competition from any of the other smart phones out there. Or is there any apps already in operation that i have just not heard about??
F.Y.I. Loopt is an app that allows you to locate friends in your city or close proximity to you via GPS
