I am flying from morocco to paris in order to fly to chicago, both flights are on air france however after i land in paris there is a 12 hour layover until the next plane flys to chicago, i was originaly going to spend time w/ distant family I have in france however that fell through, i sent an email asking them if i could use one of their lounges what do you think?

In a word, "no" as you are not flying Business or First Class and you are apparently not a member of their "club." Sorry. There is a reason that Air France has facilities such as this, and trips like yours is not the reason.

I think you should either ride the train into Paris and do some sightseeing, or maybe spring for a cheap hotel near the airport. The whole point of lounges is that they are an amenity included in the price of a Business or higher ticket...or extended as a courtesy to people who fly the airline a lot....if you don't fit into either of these categories, sorry, but you will have to make your own arrangements for comfort
