I did an extraction using all these solvents - near the end of the distillation or evaportion phase (using a double boiler) I was getting two different liquids with different colors probably because of dissolving different parts of the solute. But is there some sort of contaminant created by mixing these solvents and introducing to mild heat (212F)?? It seems the longer I heat the clearer liquid the more it evaportates just quite a bit slower than the rest of the mixture (when it was a mixture earlier). The water in the double boil apparatus is boiling rapidly but the distilation mixture is just barely steaming??
Will Acetone Isopropyle90% and Coleman camp fule mix and distill well?
