Will a wireless keyboard and mouse setup work with a KVM switcher?

I just got a USB keyboard and mouse KVM switcher for my two desktops, and now I'm thinking of getting a wireless desktop setup (just mouse and keyboard). There are two USB inputs on my KVM switch, one for keyboard and one for mouse, and the VGA monitor output of course. The wireless receiver would only be one USB plug (plugged into one of two USB ports on the KVM switch), so would it work for my desktops?

I really don't see why it wouldn't work, but I'd rather hear from people with experience than waste a couple trips buying a product and returning it, and causing the store some hassle with returns.
