Will a USB HeadSet(phones & Mic) work on the playstation 2 for Gaming like

(Guitar hero or rock band)? I really want to know the answer.....cuz i'm planing to get one for my ps2 to play.....i could'nt find a standard usb mic (not logitech) cuz it's expensive....plz help
