will a t-mobile comet work with my current t-mobile plan?

I am about to the end of my 2 year contract with t mobile so i am going to upgrade my phone soon. then phone i want to get is the T-Mobile comet, and if i upgrade and renew my contract i can get it for free. I am just wondering if the plan i currently have will work with this phone? I am on an individual 300 mins a month plan, with the added service of unlimited texting. I asked this question on the t-mobile comet fourm on the t-mobile web site, and everybody told me yes this would work and it wouldn't cost me to use wifi either. I was in the process of checking out on the website when i saw this message "This phone requires a Web service in order to access the Internet, e-mail, and more. After you receive your new phone, you’ll need to visit My T-Mobile to add an Android Web service." so now i am wondering if t-mobile will let me stay on my plan or try to sign me up for an android one. help please?
