will a sidekick 2009 receive picture messages with AT&T service?

I have AT&T service and am considering purchasing an unlocked T-Mobile Sidekick 2009. Some of the Sidekicks that I've looked at have said that I won't be able to receive pictures since I have AT&T service, but those seem to only be the 2008 phones. So essentially I'm asking if I purchase a Sidekick 2009, will I be able to receive pictures with my AT&T service?
 
I have a AT&T service, and a T-Mobile unlocked 2009 Sidekick. I can NOT receive or send picture messages since it is a different service.
