will a mechanic install my own new oem parts?

I have bought a new spark plug and ignition coil and can't get my valve cover off. Will a mechnic do it just for the labor rate? It should only take a hour it has six, 7mm bolts. Then the coil just pops out and you slide the new one in.
 
yeah they should do it. just no warranty on parts. if the coil or spark plugs go bad you will have to pay for the parts and labor for them to do it again.
 
Most shops will and will charge you book time from alldata. If it only takes an hour, why cant you do it?
