As far as I know, the engine mounts are the same, but what modifications are needed? Do I need different fuel rails? Will I need custom fuel line? Can I keep the Town Car transmission? Which year engine will work with the 1996 Town Car? Whoever answers all questions to my satisfaction will receive 100 points. 100 extra points for a link to a similar project.
