I tried to pry off my ipod touch 2nd generation 8gb screen with a flat head. I saw a video on how to fix my headphone jack that involved taking off the screen, taking out the screw that holds the headphone jack in place, moving the end of the headphones that plugs into the jack around until you can hear from both speakers and then putting the screw back in. So i watched a video on taking apart my ipod knowing that the 2nd generation has clips instead of just glue like the fist generation. Well i got eager and tried with a screwdriver on the wrong side and spider web cracked my screen all over, good thing i had a screen protector on or i dont know if it would still be working.
So i went on amazon to buy a screen i found one and purchased it, probably not the best one but a really good deal if i do it right and it works. But then i noticed after i purchased it when i was checking the tracking that it was a screen for the iphone 3g 2nd generation. the listing said iPhone 3G 2nd gen 8GB 16GB Touch LCD Screen TAIWAN VERSION iPhone 3G 2nd gen 8GB 16GB Touch LCD Screen TAIWAN VERSION. Will that work for my ipod touch 2nd generation 8GB will it fit. Also any information on which screens for other generations are compatable would be helpful in case i need to buy a new one, also which size torx screw driver is the size for the headphone jack screw inside the ipod touch 2nd generation 8gb.
Thanks so much for the help
