Will a 99 dodge ram transmission from a 5.2L bolt right up to a 1998 Dodge Dakota 5.2L?

what modifications need to be done? i heard the coolant lines and what not but i need specific things from people that have done it, the dakota should have a 44RE and i also read that all 40's(42RE 44RE and 46RE) are interchangeable because what changes is the torque of them(because of the number of disks inside) i need help ASAP
Specs:
1997 Dodge Dakota 5.2L Automatic 4x2
1999 Dodge ram 5.2L Automatic 4x2 1500
