will a 5.0 fit in my 97 ford explorer 4.0 ohv 4x4?

i really need to know if the trans mission will bolt up my 4.0 blew so i figured i would but a 5.0 in it all carborated instead of fuel injected i know all i need to do to make this possible except if the old transmission will bolt up to a 5.0 aka 302ci even a 289ci would be ok if it will bolt up to the tranny
