I need to replace the transmission on a 96 dodge ram 2500. It's a 5 spd manual, geared real low...horrible mileage. Anyways I'm thinking about picking up a late model 6 spd trans and transfer case to go along with it possibly. Does anyone know if this is possible without major modifications? Please, only serious replies from people who actually know from experience. Thanks.
